Banowetz + Company recently developed an exclusive invitation package for Toro Toro, the famed Pan Latin steakhouse by chef Richard Sandoval that opened its first Texas location in Downtown Fort Worth. To match the vibrant flavors and bold design of the restaurant, B+C utilized a variety of special printing techniques to ensure the invitation was eye-catching and unforgettable. On the custom, stone-colored envelopes, the recipient’s name was presented in a white ink script with a bull icon blind-embossed on the back enclosure. The invitation introduced more tactile materials, including a clear acrylic front panel with silkscreened messaging and a wood-textured back panel with a gold-foiled Toro Toro mark. The final invitation received rave reviews, with guests giving it five-stars for creativity.
Banowetz is Rockin’ It — New Work for Dallas Theater Center
Each year, Dallas Theater Center hosts Centerstage Gala, a spectacular fundraiser featuring epic entertainment, which draws theater patrons from throughout the city. Following the award-winning work we produced for last year's "Hamilton"-themed gala, Banowetz + Company was once again enlisted to name, brand and design the look for this year's rock-themed event, which was aptly named “Rock On! Guitars, Glam and Greatness," and the ”Encore" rockin' after party. The look is a juxtaposition of pop colors, graphic illustrations of music legends and music iconography, resulting in a show-stopping brand. Visit the DTC website for ticket information for the May 12, 2018, event, and check out the finished pieces below.
Centerstage: B+Co Brands Dallas Theater Center and Hamilton-Themed Event
Unless you’ve been asleep for the last two years, you’ve probably heard of the Broadway sensation Hamilton, the musical based on the life of founding father Alexander Hamilton. So when the folks at Dallas Theater Center (DTC) approached us about creating materials for a Hamilton-themed Centerstage fundraising gala, we knew it would be a chance to do some fun, high-profile work.
Banowetz + Company developed the names “Revolution and Revelry” for the gala and “The Uprising” for the after-party, and created a visual motif for all pieces which was inspired by the existing Hamilton branding. We designed the event logos and an invitation package with a poster and raffle card, as well as ads, digital assets, various illustrations and handlettering — all of which were designed with a graffiti-inspired design, giving them a sophisticated yet appropriately edgy irreverence.
We think the founding fathers would unanimously approve the direction we took. We hope you agree. If you want to purchase tickets to the event or the after-party, or if you’re feeling lucky and want to purchase raffle tickets to win a trip to NYC to see the Hamilton production in person, you can your get tickets here.
