Banowetz + Company partnered with Benchmark Global Hospitality to craft a custom barbecue sauce and rub for VIP guests attending a leadership conference at their Texas A&M University property in College Station. B+C developed the name “1876” as an homage to the university’s founding date and to highlight the rich history of the storied institution. To create a sense of place for out-of-town conference guests, branding for 1876 was rustic yet refined, and featured a flag-bearing cavalryman and stylized woodblock lettering. As it is Benchmark’s mission to create authentic and memorable food and beverage experiences, the Texas BBQ Sauce is infused with locally-sourced Texas Corn Whiskey through a partnership with Rio Brazos Distillery. The final gift set presentation incorporated a custom screen-printed box with liquor-bottle-inspired packaging and labeling.
Bon Appétit: B+C Develops Delicious Packaging for Benchmark
Banowetz + Company partnered with Benchmark Global Hospitality to create a tasteful and engaging giveaway for special guests at the annual IMEX Conference. Highlighting Benchmark’s mission to present memorable and authentic food and beverage experiences, B+C crafted a simple and sophisticated package for guests to experience the world of Benchmark in their own kitchen. Inside the custom wooden box, five curated recipes from Benchmark chefs, and corresponding ingredients featured in them, were presented in labelled metal tins. Locally-sourced honey, a custom tea towel, and a laser-engraved wooden spoon rounded out the presentation. The resulting package not only delights the senses but also indulges one’s culinary creativity.
Ink Soy Sauce: New Work Makes a Big Splash
If you’re a foodie, you’ll especially appreciate our latest creative endeavor at B+C, where we helped name, brand and package a new line of gourmet soy sauces. After some enlightening taste tests and initial meetings with the creators of these tasty concoctions, we put down our chopsticks and got to work. The client chose “Ink Soy Sauce” as the product name, and after establishing the logo, we created messaging and graphics as bold as the sauce itself, for use on the packaging, stationery and website. Lastly, a promotional kit was needed for presenting the new product line to retailers. The combination of bamboo and metal gave the finished cases an impressive and unique culinary feel. We’re excited to say that Ink Soy Sauce has already made its debut on the shelves in grocery stores throughout Los Angeles, and the line was recently rolled out at Walmart. Make sure to grab yourself a bottle, or two at inksoysauce.com, because Ink is shaking things up from coast to coast.
