Banowetz + Company collaborated once again with celebrity chef Stephan Pyles to launch Fauna, a wildly experimental tasting-menu eatery at Flora Street Cafe in the Dallas Arts District. Imagined as an exclusive culinary adventure, the branding for Fauna is equally creative yet restrained, with branch-like elements fusing together to create the wordmark and accompanying animal icons. B+C designed a simple, elevated tasting menu featuring blush-colored paper, gold foil, and a handmade wax stamp on the enclosure. Rounding out the unconventional experience, signage was developed and a unique antler-handled box was sourced for the check presenter.
Wild Yet Elevated: B+C Brands Fauna
A Tasty Texas Trio: B+C Branding for Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen
In the past year, Banowetz + Company partnered with Delta Hotels by Marriott Dallas Allen as they launched three food and beverage experiences at the new hotel and conference center. The flagship Stampede 66 is an evolution of celebrity chef Stephan Pyles’ well-known downtown restaurant, and B+C created updated menus, check presenters, signage, and business collateral using the established branding. To compliment the modern Texas cuisine, Banowetz + Company collaborated with Delta and interior partner Matchline to launch Canyon Bar. For this elevated watering hole, B+C designed a robust branding package of faceted, cowboy-inspired iconography and developed bar signage, coasters, and custom imprinted license plate menus. Last but not least, Banowetz + Company collaborated with Delta to launch Provisions66, a grab-and-go experience to offer the flavors of Stampede66 to guests on the go or in the comfort of their rooms. Inspired by road signage, the branding incorporates the orange and brown tones like Canyon Bar to connect with Stampede66. B+C designed signage, food labels, grab-and-go collateral, and a food labeling system that could be used consistently across all food packages. The result is a family of brands which each have their own identity and work together as a cohesive system.
Fresh Work: Stephan Pyles Flora Street Cafe
The Banowetz Design Team just finished up some wonderful branding and collateral pieces for the latest restaurant concept by celebrity chef, Stephan Pyles. Planted in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, Stephan Pyles Flora Street Cafe is situated in the HALL Arts building across the street from the Meyerson Symphony Center and the AT&T Performing Arts Center. The restaurant opened to rave reviews and offers “elevated Texas cuisine” in an open-kitchen concept. The smart, simple and sophisticated branding goes nicely with the elegant design of the restaurant interior, while the menus embrace the art-centric location, featuring fun quips and quotes by well-known artists. Just to whet your appetite until you get your reservation at this new Dallas hot spot, here’s a taste of the work we created.
