June 7th, will be the yearly award show for the Dallas Society of Visual Communications, one of the largest independent clubs for creative professionals including designers, art directors, copywriters and photographers. It’s always a great opportunity to see what other regional design studios are producing, and to showcase our work. Firms enter work into the show hoping to receive accolades on the night of the event.
This year, two of our recent projects were accepted. The first is a series of pieces for Hilton Dallas / Park Cities to drive more traffic to its recently renovated restaurant, Grain. The layouts pick up on the flavor of the decorative logo and the elaborate chalkboard signage featured on premises. Copy on check-in materials and in-room collateral was crafted to entice hotel guests to dine downstairs versus leaving the hotel, especially during lunch. And clever direct mail pieces invite area neighbors to check out the fare, as well.
The second entry selected is a collection of info graphics created for our client Allie Beth Allman & Associates, the largest single-office residential real estate firm in Dallas. The graphics utilize a simple color scheme and smart illustrations to present basic information in a visually interesting way.
We’re proud of these pieces so wish us luck, and we’ll keep you “posted” on the results of the show.
