While summer temperatures have been heating up in Dallas, we’ve been busy helping our client NorthPark Center get ready for fall with an intense, two-day photo shoot featuring new looks from the industry’s top designers. It’s always exciting to see what pieces we will shoot from the runway. The ensembles ranged from bold and structured to sleek and sophisticated, with designs from Roberto Cavalli, Versace, Gucci, BVLGARI and other well-known fashion houses.
As a backdrop for this campaign, we chose an indoor/outdoor location, shooting among the spectacular artwork at the Nasher Sculpture Center. Right in our backyard, the Nasher features one of the finest collections of modern and contemporary sculptures in the world. This is the first of a series of photo shoots that will play off the NorthPark tag line “The Art of Shopping,” emphasizing the Center’s longstanding commitment to making museum-quality art accessible to all. Luckily, the summer heat didn’t keep us from shooting in the Nasher’s sculpture garden. But between the sun and renowned model Marloes Horst, the new face of Maybelline New York, things were definitely hot on set.
Sarah Terrell and Leon Banowetz worked the shoot both days and had the pleasure of teaming up with some incredible artists — from the photographer to the hair and makeup stylists, it was an impressive talent pool. In the end, the juxtaposition between the art, nature, model and apparel proved to be really interesting and made for some great shots. To see the final images, be watching for ads in PaperCity, Modern Luxury, FD and other local publications, as well as a stunning four-page section in the September issue of Vogue, due to hit the stands in just a few weeks. And remember that, if you fall in love with something, you know where to find it — NorthPark Center!
