After weeks of gray skies and rainy days, spring has finally made an appearance in Dallas, and it extended the perfect invitation to the crew at Banowetz to take a little field trip to White Rock Lake. Given that it was our fearless leader’s idea and there was a plentiful supply of LimeBikes available, we had no excuse not to get out and about for some fresh air. After tooling around for a bit and working up a thirst, we made our way over to East Dallas hot spot El Vecino, for drinks and appetizers — the perfect way to end the day and start the season.
Lisa Foote: Production Pro Promoted
We’d like to give a shout out to Banowetz + Company team member Lisa Foote. It takes a pro to know the ins and outs of taking a job from comp to production without missing a beat, and that’s just what she does. Her hard work has earned her a promotion to the role of Senior Production Artist, where she’ll continue to make sure we cross our t’s and dot our i’s, while juggling rounds of revisions and prepping files. Congrats, Lisa!

Hello, Dollys! — New Faces at Banowetz + Company
Leon Banowetz is a big Dolly Parton fan. Always has been. Always will be. And now the walls of B+Co feature a framed collection paying homage to the Queen of Country. A designer on our creative team, Lily Smith+Kirkley was one of the illustrators participating in a 2015 print exhibition featuring 35 Dolly portraits by some of the nation’s finest printmakers. The project, created by Margot Ecke of Smokey Road Press, was titled “Tease it to Jesus” — a nod to Dolly’s big... hair — and showcases a wide variety of illustration styles and print processes. Check it out here or the next time you stop by the studio. What can we say but “Dolly, we will always love you.”
